The Quality of Chevrolet Trucks

Looking for your next truck? Can't pick between a Chevrolet and a Dodge? Well, the article below gives an overview and review of some Chevrolet trucks. You'll find out what they're good for, as well as some of the top models. Enjoy!

Chevrolet trucks will never be outdated, outmoded, or outdone. (Well, they are neck-and-neck with Ford trucks, but why argue over Coke and Pepsi? Both work quite well for millions of satisfied customers and fans.) Point is, Chevrolet trucks today are as hot, high-powered, and enduring as those of the seventies.

When you grow up in a rural area, your work—farming, hauling, tree-cutting, lumberyard working, etc.—centers on the use of a reliable vehicle. You drive Chevy trucks to and from the grocery store in a snow storm, when the grocery store is an hour’s drive away and the snow storm is a blizzard. You drive your Chevy to the lake, toting ten friends or friends of friends. You drive your Chevy truck to the races, towing your twin-stroke bikes or your souped up demolition derby behind.

When you grow up, move away from Hicksville, and are on your own to pick and choose (and purchase), you inevitably return to the memories and history of driving a reliable, fun, useful, and even fast and powerful vehicle. If ten years have passed, you may go for one of the used Chevrolet trucks you find on Craigslist, knowing what you are getting (into) as you used to have one of the same year. (That year likely only had one quirk, typically, a lighting or circuitry glitch, a pull or drag, etc., so you know how to remedy it.)

"You drive Chevy trucks to and from the grocery store in a snow storm, when the grocery store is an hour’s drive away and the snow storm is a blizzard. You drive your Chevy to the lake, toting ten friends or friends of friends."

Or if you want the new smell, feel, and power, you visit the lots or online shops selling brand new Chevrolet trucks…and you are not disappointed, regardless of what model and which extras you choose. The Chevrolet trucks of 2006, for example, are even boasted about as out-running any Ford!

Consider the Silverado SS, with its Vortec Max 6000 VS. It retains the durability, most of the cosmetic characteristics (save the nose is not as square), and the personality of the seventies’ Chevy trucks, without compromising in speed, mileage, or environmental concerns…. And it is even faster, more powerful and has a quicker pick-up on the tac than the older models.

Or check out the Chevrolet Colorado. Whether you want the appearance of a 1971, with the lowered chassis and shapely contour (without the ugly bubble-shape of the 90’s versions) or you want a different kind of brawny appearance, more space, and more enhanced features, the Colorado can more than make up for showroom style with its dual bumper or flared skirting, its two-tone detailing, or its sportside boxiness.

Point is, popularity has not waned for Chevrolet trucks any more than devotion to quality, competitive pricing, or retained aesthetic features have.

As you have learned from the article, Chevrolet trucks are not only popular, they are high quality, dangerous looking trucks. Definitely worth looking into if want a stylish yet hard core truck.

Benefits of a Car DVD System

Okay, so we know that everyone owns at least one automobile, with some families having three or four cars. With the amount of time we spend traveling in our cars, it isn't surprising you're looking for a dvd system to be mounted in your car. You have a lot of options, so read the following article to find out which ones are best as well as get an overview of car dvd systems.

Today's auto market is becoming more and more diversified, with Hummers lining up next to Smart Cars and Geo Metros in dealer lots. One of the first things many people do when they bring home a new vehicle is to make it theirs by adding custom touches. Bored spouses and kids make in car DVD systems one of the hottest new upgrades on the auto market.

Imagine, you're headed across the country with your family to visit the in-laws in Omaha, and your kids are driving you nuts. A car DVD system allows you to pop in one of their favorite movies and have them entertained for hours while on the road.

There are two main types of in car DVD systems: portable and in-dash. Portable systems, though not as sleek or worry-free as the in-dash systems, are considerably cheaper and more versatile. They are usually powered by your car's 12-volt power adapter but can be converted to run from your home's power supply, allowing you to take the DVD player and monitor into your in-laws house when your happy family arrives.

In-dash car DVD systems are hardwired into your vehicle's entertainment system. They display movies either on a screen in the center-console, on a screen that descends from the roof of the vehicle, or on a screen which flips up from the dashboard. Though these systems aren't portable outside the vehicle, once installed they don't require any extra cords or setup: you can load in your movies and drive away. Screens located either on the center console or which flip up from the dashboard can double as displays for in-car GPS or navigation software, but they can be distracting to drivers. The flip-down screens avoid driver distraction, but they are usually only convenient for back-seat viewing, leaving a front seat passenger to count license plates or play I-Spy with the driver.

In car DVD systems are perhaps the biggest boon to the long family road trip since Car Bingo, and as the technology improves you can expect the systems to get smaller, lighter, and cheaper. Though portable systems are still the choice for families on the go since they require no expensive installation or conversion, more and more auto manufacturers have plans to include built-in systems in their vehicles, especially upscale and family autos. It may be tough to find a driver for your next road trip, as the entire family will be stretched out in the back seat, munching on popcorn and watching a film.

As you can see, there is a lot of benefits to owning and installing a car dvd system in your automobile. With so many of us spending hours at a time in our cars, it would definitely prove worth it to purchase a dvd system.

How Good is the 2006 Honda Civic?

Looking to buy and learn more about the 2006 Honda Civic? Look no further. Here's a great review on the car that I hope you'll enjoy.

The 2006 Honda Civic sedan is a technological marvel, and is the most advanced piece of automotive machinery in existence today. Hmm, okay, so maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration. If you’ve been keeping up with car reviews, the praise the new 2006 Honda Civics have been getting would lead you to think that it is indeed some kind of engineering break through. The 2006 Honda Civic may not be the most advanced car on the planet, but for its price range it may be the most practical, and most reliable.

I’ve been driving a Honda Civic for years now, and I’m fiercely loyal to Honda’s lineup. My 1992 Honda Civic has over 200K miles on it, and its only had two problems that required more than a thousand dollars in maintenance. It’s also been in a serious accident, but it shows now signs of its age or experience today. Having said that, I am probably going to pick up a new one soon, but mostly just because I’m tired of the metallic teal color I for some reason thought looked cool, and because the stereo system has completely died. Also, I’m interested in getting one of those spiffy sattelite navigation systems available with the 2006 Honda Civics.

So, what’s new with the 2006 Honda Civic that is winning it so much praise? The first thing I noticed is they gave the car another makeover. Sort of like the makeover they gave the ’92 model, going from the previous box look to the sleeker model, the ’06 model is another leap forward towards a sleeker, futuristic, and dynamic design. I have to admit, the 2006 Honda Civic sedan is much more attractive than my 1992 model.

The 2006 Honda Civics have all gotten a boost to their performance as well. The 2006 Honda Civic sedan now has a 140 horsepower 1.8 liter i-VTEC engine with a Drive-by-Wire Throttle System, giving it more zip than ever. It is also even more fuel efficient than any of the previous Honda Civics, getting an incredible 40 MPG on highways, and 30 MPG in cities. The fuel efficiency alone is a good reason to look into buying a 2006 Honda Civic, but they are also low emission vehicles.

As you can tell, I’m pretty much sold on the 2006 Honda Civic, and will probably drive Honda’s for some time to come. They’ve proven to be extremely reliable, efficient, and fun little cars, and are actually extremely affordable as well.

It seems like the 2006 Honda Civic is a great car if you're looking for a reliable, smaller car. Well, what are you waiting for? Go out and buy one! If you're still not sure, go check out my other articles as well.
